VALLEY OUTREACH

Have you ever followed God’s leading to reach out and help someone, and in the process you also experienced His joy and peace? Unexpected and exciting blessings often result when we reach out to others in need. Through outreach, we all have the opportunity to extend the love of Christ to those outside of the church family by serving, meeting practical needs, and sharing the Gospel.

Jesus tells us to “go and make disciples of all nations.”  At Valley, we are actively reaching out to our neighbors in the local community and beyond, even to some of the world’s most remote and impoverished areas.

When we work together to meet physical and spiritual needs, we have the privilege of witnessing the power of God as He changes lives.

From the World Outreach Committee:

In our September church business meeting, the congregation affirmed a recommendation of the World Outreach Committee to spend part of our 2006 surplus. They voted to provide gifts to our overseas missionaries to help compensate for the loss in the value of the U.S. dollar across the globe in the last several years. Here’s a response from B and K, serving in North Africa:

Thanks for the unexpected but very generous gift of $2000 to help out with the weak dollar.  Wow!  We are so touched by your thoughtfulness. I have never heard of a church taking such an initiative and we are so, so thankful!  You are an unusual church, truly on the forefront of  fulfilling the Great Commission.  May God bless all of the body at Valley.

Their Own Words

"The two Valley trips that I have served on (Dominican Republic and North Africa) have been the best trips of my life, rivaled only by my honeymoon."
                                               -Matt Brum

“If God is calling you to take a mission trip, please heed the call. He will use you in ways that you would not even think of. You will see Him touch people’s lives, open closed doors and work through you. You will not regret it.”

                                                       —Sue D.

“One of the most important things you can do for a missionary is pray."
