From the World Outreach Committee: In our September church business meeting, the congregation affirmed a recommendation of the World Outreach Committee to spend part of our 2006 surplus. They voted to provide gifts to our overseas missionaries to help compensate for the loss in the value of the U.S. dollar across the globe in the last several years. Here’s a response from B and K, serving in North Africa: Thanks for the unexpected but very generous gift of $2000 to help out with the weak dollar. Wow! We are so touched by your thoughtfulness. I have never heard of a church taking such an initiative and we are so, so thankful! You are an unusual church, truly on the forefront of fulfilling the Great Commission.
