Committees

Deacon Fund
The Deacon Fund is a short-term emergency fund for attenders and members at Valley. There is a confidential, formal application process for an individual to be considered for emergency, short-term Deacon Fund financial support. The procedure begins with submitting a letter, detailing the need with contact information and supporting documents (bills, invoices) included. This letter may be sent to the church to the attention of the Deacon Fund Committee or put in the Deacon Fund mailbox at the church.

Please notify Lynne Gucwa at 673.6826 x108 of your application and it will be forwarded to the Deacon Fund Committee for consideration. Please allow up to two weeks for the application to be reviewed. A committee member will contact you, once the review is completed.

Dorcas Ministry
The Dorcas Committee was established to meet short-term needs, such as meals or errands, for Valley attenders and members. Typically, these events are serious illness/injury, recent birth or death in the immediate family. Other situations may be considered as well.

Please contact Lynne Gucwa at 673.6826 x108 should you have a need for the services of this committee.

Faithful Hands
The purpose of the Faithful Hands ministry is to minister to the ongoing physical needs of attendees, particularly the elderly, widows/widowers and single parents, and to build relationships between the caregivers and the care receiver. In addition, the Faithful Hands committee coordinates physical help for those with one-time requests that require more than one person.

Your Deacon must submit a request on your behalf for assistance from the committee. Please contact Lynne Gucwa at 673.6826 x108 for more information.
